update

With everything that has been going on in the last week, things are finally beginning to settle down. John is doing ok for now, my mom is out of the hospital and staying with us a couple of days, and Will is home.

I am one very tired woman and in need of a vacation. I am suprised that I have not gotten sick, since I usually do when several stressful things happen at once.

I will try and most some pictures of the boys, it just maybe a couple of days.

I need some advice…

So after all of the stress and craziness in the last couple of weeks, I have decided to treat myself with a haircut :). I would rather have a massage, but that is kinda of out of my price range right now.

So here is my question for all of you:

What kind of haircut/style should I get? I am really terrible about what looks good on me and probably the reason I continuously just pull it back in a ponytail. But I really need to do something for myself. So please help.

Really what else can go wrong

So the past week has been a living (well you know what). We lost a cousin at the end of last week and went back to Iowa for her funeral. It was a beautiful service and the church was magnificant. It was nice to see the Shumaker side of the family again, though I wish we could get together under better circumstances. While we were in Iowa, my mother was admitted to the hospital for heart failure and now has phemonia. John, my father in law, is getting worse (he is a heart patient too.) You can check out his blog if you follow the link on the side bar, but I do not think my mother in law is keeping up on it. As well, my nephew (Will, 3mths old) is in the hospital and my step-grandfather is deteriating.

When I think of every thing going on, I think of the Jermey Camp song I will walk in Faith, because that is all I can do. God will be the one that will get us through these difficult times and this tribulations will make us stronger. And his name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and have knowledge of: yes, the faith which is through him has made him well, before you all. Acts 3:16
I just wish there was not so many all at once, but I am thankful for all that the Lord has given us.

So please pray for my family that they may be comforted in the Lord and for those that do not believe that they will open their hearts.

A very stressed and exhausted,
Amanda

Ok, now that I am feeling better…

I can get back to my hectic life. This past week/weekend my office and I have been spreading around a little left over holiday cheer in the form of the flu. Ugh! and we are not back to full strength yet. But this was actually a good thing for me, I was able to relax and catch up on my sewing. I was able to complete the quilt using my charm pack and jellyroll, and then I found some fabric that was just Christmas light bulbs…It turned out so cute. I will post a picture I soon I as take one. Which you can let is not that often. 
The weekend before last, we did a major move of furniture in the house. We moved our large tv and reclining couch downstairs and moved the tv and couch that were in the living room upstairs to the game room. I was amazed at how much extra space there was upstairs and we are slowly moving all the boys toys into that room. Josh is building the train table and hopefully it will be done in the next two weeks. It is nice to sit up there and let the boys play without feeling like they are on top of you.
This past weekend, Aiden figured out lala, dada, mama; but they are not really words to us just more jibber-jabber and it especially comes out when he is mad. It was pretty funny, because when Josh left Thursday, he was not doing any talking and by Sat. you could tell what he was saying. Lately, he has been working on his climbing up to stand using the furniture. He really likes the leapfrog table that plays music, he will stand at it and shake his leg or bounce up and down. Also, in the past couple of weeks, Aiden has mastered the sippy cup and NO MORE BOTTLES (happy dance). He is eating solids like a champ (even with only two teeth) with 3 meals and an after nap snack. He is definitely a food lover, anything that looks like food or could possibly be food goes straight to his mouth and he gets ticked if you are eating and he is not. So far, I don’t think there is a food he does not like. When Jonah was this age, I had a hard time getting him to eat anything with meat in it, not Aiden.
